Laura Varsky is an award-winning graphic designer, illustrator, and educator from Argentina. She has a BFA in Graphic Design from the University of Buenos Aires (FADU) and earned a postgraduate degree in Management and Policy in Culture and Communication from the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences (FLACSO). She specializes in the design of books and CD sleeves. In 2006, she won a Latin Grammy Award as Art Director for best record packaging and was nominated again in 2014, 2015, and 2018. She received the second national award in the design category granted by the National Endowment for the Arts in 2018.
Laura is co-director of the Postgraduate Program in Professional Illustration at the FADU and has been teaching there for more than 10 years at the same institution. She coordinates workshops and gives lectures throughout Latin America and Spain. She is a member of the design collective with a gender perspective ""Hay Futura."" Her work has been published in several countries and is part of the permanent design collection of the Museum of Modern Art of Buenos Aires, as well as the IDA Foundation, Argentine Design Research.
